MAREP signs Memorandum of Understanding with Grenada National Training Agency (GNTA)

The Grenada National Training Agency (GNTA) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on Friday 19th September, 2014 will provide life skills, vocational training and Certification for six hundred (600) students (youth) recruited from within MAREP’s identified fifty (50) communities. This will be done in batches of two hundred (200) for a two (2) year period, with the first batch to commence in 2014.

The training will cost EC$1.7M and will include areas such as: Emerging Technology, PADI, General Hardware Repairs, Utility Service Repairs, Graphics/Web Designing, Care Services, Food and Nutrition, Catering, Music Production and Yachting related areas.
Certification will be for both National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) minimum level two (2).

The training will be decentralized in suitable classrooms in Parishes nearest to clusters of Trainees.
