ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, May 29, 2015 –GIS: Hon. Yolande Bain-Horsford, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, joins Caribbean Tourism Ministers at the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) Meeting in New York  from June 2 – 5, 2015.  Participants will,among other matters, for tourism development discuss:

·         A framework for a Regional Private Public Sector Tourism Action Plan

·         Private Public Sector tourism Initiatives

·         Identifying best practices and looking at ways to stimulate travel to and within the region and

·         Ways to provide the most authentic efficient and desirable visitor experience to the Caribbean etc.

Other activities

On June 5, 2015, the Hon. Minister travels from New York to Atlanta to participate in a travel-trade promotion meeting to promote the island.  The Minister will also join Delta’s Inaugural Flight from Atlanta to Grenada on June 6, 2015.

On June 9, the Minister again travels to New York to address a reception with travel agents and promote the destination and its upcoming festivals and  returns to Grenada on  Jet Blue's June 11 Inaugural Flight.
