ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, September 01, 2015 – GIS: Hon. Yolande Bain-Horsford, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, leaves the country this evening to attend the 23rd Inter-American Congress of Ministers and High –level Authorities of Tourism Meeting in Lima, Peru.
The September 3rd to 4th meeting is themed “Community-based Rural Tourism – Agenda for More Competitive and Sustainable Development”.
The countries represented at the meeting will speak on the experience of community and rural tourism, factors of competitiveness is this area, as well as its impact for future initiatives, among other related topics.
While there Minister Bain-Horsford will also engage agencies for assistance in funding community-based projects.
