Social Partners pull out Powerful Cast for second session in Public Education Series.

ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, Monday, October 14, 2013 - GIS: The social partners in Grenada have pulled out another powerful cast for its second session in its public education series.

The second session is carded for this Tuesday at Bain’s Hall Conference room in Grenville from 8.00  p.m until 9.30 p.m  and will be carried live on national television.

Two well known economists, a senator representing the private sector, a leading trade unionist and a top NGO official will sit on the panel.

Denyse Ogilvie, will represent the NGOS, Andre Lewis will present on behalf of the Trade unions and Senator Chris DeAllie makes his case for the Private Sector platform.

The two economists- Dr. Patrick Antoine and Lennox Andrews are representing the government and the Conference of Churches respectively.

The public education series aim to inform national dialogue on issues of national significance and to forge consensus on rebuilding the economy.

The first discussion in the series earlier in the month dealt with restructuring the national debt.

The topic on Tuesday night will be: Generating Jobs and Sustainable Livelihoods.

The Committee of Social Partners urges the general public to participate in the series either by attending or tuning in to the live broadcast.

The discussion will be carried live on radio (Real FM 91.9 or 91.5), television (GIS TV) and the internet (http://www.gov.gd/tv/)
