ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, June 1, 2016 - GIS: The state funeral for former Governor General Sir Reginald Palmer, GCMG, MBE, will be carried live on national television on Friday, June 3, 2016.

The funeral service takes place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception from 10 AM.

On Wednesday, government ministers and other officials were filing past the body which is currently lying in state.

Viewing began at  10 AM Wednesday and is expected to last until 5 PM.

As a mark of respect to the late Sir Reginald, flags will be flown at half mast in Grenada on Friday.
