Primary and secondary students from across the Constituency of St. George South are invited to take part in the 2016 Hon. Alexandra Otway-Noel Father’s Day Essay Competition.

It is open to all children in Primary and Secondary School, Student and their Father must be residents of St. George South. 

Each student must submit one essay, written in English on the topic: “Why my dad should be awarded “Best Dad”

The essay must be no more than 500 words in length and handwritten or typed, with the word count included at the end of the document. Typed entries must be double-spaced and in Times New Roman, font size 12. Essays will be judged on creativity, content or subject, style or structure and grammar.

Original entries of the essay must be submitted to the Parliamentary Office no later than June 10th 2016.

Winners of the competition will receive prizes as follows:

1st Place One Laptop Computer

2nd Place One Smart Phone  

3rd Place Backpack with School Supplies

as well as a Certificate, fathers of the winners will also be awarded on that day.

Prizes will be presented at the Father’s Day Family Fun-day and Luncheon on Sunday June 19th 2016 at the Mont Tout Community Centre and Playing Field and both father and child will be expected o attend the function.

Winners will be expected to read their Essay on television and the winning essays will be published in newspapers.
