ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 - GIS: Grenada’s Ambassador for International Investment Peter de Savary, is delighted over the visit of a number of high profiled Hollywood celebrities to Grenada during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Ambassador de Savary hosted and sponsored two groups of celebrities in an effort to help boost Grenada’s international image. “We have to continue to keep Grenada on the map and seize every worthwhile opportunity like this,” he said.

Michelle Rodriguez; who is known for her roles in Fast and Furious and Avatar, and Kellan Lutz  from Twilight and the new Hercules movie both brought some of their influential friends to Grenada and were hosted by Mr. de Savary.

“They had a fantastic time,” said de Savary “Grenada offers a unique and authentic experience to the discerning traveller. The island is still very much unspoilt and is being very carefully developed. Visitors to Grenada feel like they have gone back in time. White sand beaches, lush tropical forests and beautiful waterfalls, rivers and lakes all make Grenada a magical place. When you combine this with genuine, friendly people who are passionate about keeping their island pristine, a very attractive package awaits visitors. There are very few authentic places like Grenada left,” de Savary noted.

“As we restart our developments at Port Louis and Mount Cinnamon this year, we will be doing much more of this. I have used this model to launch and promote my hotels around the world in the past and it is proven to be effective,” he remarked. Celebrities like Madonna, Harry Belafonte, Joan Collins, Ernie Els, Freddie Flintoff and others have all endorsed de Savary projects.

Ambassador de Savary has brought over 300 journalists from some of the world’s best publications to Grenada. These have included the Times of London; The New York Times, The Guardian; The Wall Street Journal; and many more. Ambassador de Savary has also used other creative means to promote Grenada like painting his company aircraft and yachts in the Grenada colours and flag.
