ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, July 7, 2014 – GIS: The public is hereby notified that the Governor-General, Her Excellency Dame Cecile La Grenade, GCMG, OBE, PH.D, will be out of the state from July 5 -22, 2014 during which period Dame La Grenade will have a private audience with Her Majesty The Queen on the July 9, 2014 and be knighted by Her Majesty, at Buckingham Palace, on July 11, 2014. Following these activities, Her Excellency Dame La Grenade will travel to the United States on private business.

The Governor-General will be accompanied by her Aide-de-Camp, ASP Randy Connaught.

In absence of Dame Cecile La Grenade, Sen. Dr. the Hon. Lawrence Joseph, President of the Senate, will function as Deputy to the Governor-General.
