Prime Minister compliments Ministry of Works on road tour of Constituency

ST.GEORGE’S, GRENADA, March 12, 2015 –GIS: The residents of New Hampshire and surrounding areas were high in praise for the Government’s decision to recommence work on the stretch of road from Grenville-Vale through to New Hampshire.

The residents and commuters alike expressed their pleasure to Prime Minister, and MP for part of the area, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, as he toured the vicinity earlier Thursday, as part of his weekly visits through his constituency.

The stretch of road was a former project of CCC, which started under the previous New National Party administration, but was abandoned under the NDC government, as the focus was shifted.

Now work is once again being done on the road in the area.

Prime Minister Mitchell, in diffusing praise for the project, expressed gratitude to the Minister of Works, Honorable Gregory Bowen and his team, who have been working tirelessly on the maintenance of our Nation’s roads, even with the scarcity of resources.

The Prime Minister and MP was also very impressed with the recent work being done on what he termed “ the beautiful piece of hot mix road” from New Hampshire right through Beaulieu into St. George’s area.

Dr. Mitchell stated that he expects to see the completion of those roads very soon, and that he will be right there to celebrate with the long-suffering residents.
