Honourable Oliver Joseph

 

Hon. Oliver Joseph, Member of Parliament for the constituency of St. David, is Grenadian by birth. He was educated at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School, The University of the West Indies and The Robert Gordon University (Scotland).

 He joined the Grenada Public Service in 1982 .He served in various positions including Director of Trade in 1999 and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 2006 to 2009.

 He was an Adjunct Lecturer in Economics at the T. A. Marryshow Community College and Tutor at the University of the West Indies Open Campus (2003-2008).

 On the 1st of November 2009 he was seconded to the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) as CSME Coordinator.

 He conducted national training for Immigration Officers throughout CARICOM and prepared the Trainer Manual to be used by Member States to train Immigration Officers.

 Mr. Joseph holds a Bachelor‘s Degree in Economics and Management, Diploma in Trade Policy and a Masters Degree in International Trade. He has also received specialized training in Trade Negotiations.

 He brings a wealth of experience in the field of Public Policy and can make a major contribution to the development of Grenada.
